Transportable and rain resistant sand sculptures, a challenge that starts in Buenos Aires and develops fully in Imbassai, Bahia, since early 2002.
Born in Milano, Italy, in 1953, I migrate to Argentina where in 1977 I have a degree in Biology (UBA).
After many changes of residence (Europe,Asia, Patagonia) and activities (master in Biology, scientific research, photographer, tourist guide, musician) in the beginning of the new millenium, I know Imbassai in Bahia, Brazil, ad my new history starts.
It is a story where the most diverse images appear, that my unconscious hand carves in blocks of sand prepared by the sea and by myself (using a mix of resins). The sand sculptures that fill my actual life, are not ephemeral, but are solid and environment resistant.
WORKHOPS
Sculpture practices took in Buenos Aires in the atelier of Sara Mansilla and Renata del Bianco, and in Sao Paulo with Denise Barreto, to whom I thank for all the support they offered me.
